This is a large range for a variety of reasons! One, the wedding boom is continuing well into 2023, wedding dates will be overlapping so it’s best to get ahead of the curve if you have your date secured. Two, if you have a lot of out-of-town guests who will have to figure out arrangements for coming! Three, it gives you a little more breathing room for getting out your invites!
This is a standard timeline and even with the wedding boom, I do not believe they have to be sent out earlier especially if you sent out Save the Dates. If you send out invites too early, guests will most likely lose the RSVP or forget to respond since the date is too far into the future to plan ahead!
This majorly depends on your venue and caterer! Although 1 month is a standard timeline, check with your vendors to make sure they don’t need the dates any sooner! Give yourself at least one week to give the mail time to come in and then track down the guests who did not respond!
I think somewhere in the universe it says it is technically okay to send them out within one year of your wedding. While that’s good and all, I do think they should go out within 3 months to relieve some stress! It’s the last thing you have to do before wrapping up all your wedding planning. If you have the thank yous lingering around for months, it makes it more of a chore! If you get them done following your honeymoon and wind-down of the wedding adrenaline, you will be so relieved and stress-free! It will also really impress your guests that you took the time to send them a thank you for attending their wedding and/or the gift right away!
