Kimberly and Dominick met back in 2016 at their companies’ shared workplace! After meeting by “chance” a few times in the building’s shared kitchen, they went on their first date to LaCosta in Sea Isle City and the rest was history! On a beautiful September day in 2020, Dominick got down on one knee and asked Kimberly to marry him. She was so stunned, her response was “Is this a joke?!?”! He assured her it was not a joke and she quickly said yes! Dominick hired a photographer to capture this beautiful moment and the photos will be forever cherished.
They are set to get married on their dating anniversary, July 23, 2022, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church of Glassboro, NJ followed by their reception at Brigalias Sicklerville, NJ!
Kimberly first inquired in the summer of 2021 and booked with me that fall! When we had our first phone consultation, you could tell our design styles immediately matched! Their focus on traditional and classic with timeless elegance is what I preach when it comes to your invitation suite! Dominick’s one request was to get gold in there somehow, someway!
I began by designing a custom crest to appear at the top of their main invitation card and the rest of the design followed suit. Once the design was approved, we played with the amount of gold foil, all of the cards, just the main invitation, or just the crest and names. We ended up with the crest and names and everything else was printed in black ink! The contrast was beautiful and it was a subtle touch of gold without getting carried away!
The envelopes were where the design process started to become more difficult. Due to the ongoing paper shortage, we had to change the color of the envelopes quite a few times depending on the current availability. We ended up on a Light Moss color for the envelopes which matches Kimberly’s bridesmaid dresses beautifully! Everything happens for a reason and I believe this suite was even more complete with the envelope color we landed on!
Kimberly and Dominick were such a pleasure to work with and rolled with the punches when it came to the envelopes. Thankfully we are all so thrilled with the final result, even with the ongoing shortage, their wedding suite represents their venue and wedding aesthetic to a T. They are going to have such an amazing wedding day!
